Rice Krispy Treats

Since when did Kelloggs stop putting the Krispies recipe on the box?!?

Here is the recipie:

3 Tbl butter

1 pkg regular marshmallows

Or

4 cups mini marshmallows

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

In a large pan melt butter over low heat.  Add marshmallows and stir until melted.  Add cereal and stir until well coated.  Press mixture into pan coated with cooking spray.  Cool and cut into squares.

Favorite Gadgets

For those of you who know know me, I LOVE kitchen gadgets.  My favorite gadget?  My Kitchenaid Mixer.  I had a sexy red Kennmore Mixer for a couple of years, until I killed it trying to make doughnuts.  My husbands dear cousin sent me one (as a belated wedding gift) the week after.

My second favorite kitchen thing is my canning gear.  I come from a long line of canners and am proud to say I am continuing the tradition.  I cant even begin to tell you how excited I get when I grow enough tomatoes to can some.  Or when watermelons are at their peak ripeness and get to make jelly.
